Montessori believed that beauty and nature brought forth the most positive instincts in the child. The classrooms are purposefully designed using neutral colours as bright and colourful rooms tend to over stimulate a child, whereas the natural tones enhance peace, calm and a better opportunity to focus.

Our setting is distinguished by its bilingual Programs. Both English and Arabic teachers work daily, side-by-side, in the same classroom, offering children maximum exposure to both languages. From the moment children are born until about the age of five years a child attains language with almost no direct teaching, absorbing the language in his environment without difficulty, no matter how complex the language is.

From its modest beginnings in a villa in 1961, St Christopher’s has grown into a large, internationally renowned, non-profit making school with over 2300 students from more than seventy nations. These children and young people, from three to eighteen years of age, benefit from the excellence, dedication and hard work of our teachers and support staff who together form a team dedicated to the creation and maintenance of an environment in which each student can learn effectively.

The British Preparatory School, which caters for children from 18 months to Year 1 in a stimulating and caring environment, is a British Curriculum School. EtonHouse Bahrain provides an Early Years Programs for children aged from 18 months to 4 years of age. Our qualified, international class teachers are supported by classroom assistants.

The early years are vitally important in the mental, physical and social development of every child. It is important that their individual needs are identified through observation and documentation of their interests, development and progress. EtonHouse provides a bilingually English/Arabic enriched, Programs with a carefully resourced environment that stimulates the learning and development of children aged 2-4 years. EtonHouse’s early childhood curriculum is inspired by internationally accepted best teaching practice from around the world such as the Reggio Emilia educational project of northern Italy.

At EtonHouse, the child benefits from a learning environment that promotes the continuous development of their social, cognitive, emotional, physical and creative strengths. Children are offered a range of opportunities to explore values, broaden communication skills, collaborate, make personal choices, group problem solve, develop ideas and explore information. Children’s learning and development, during the early years is supported by a framework of long and short term goals. These goals reflect the “whole” development of each individual child.

The Budaiya Pre-School has provided quality education for young children in Bahrain for over 20 years.
